Let Customers Install Your Shop Without an App Store

Building a native iPhone and Android app is expensive: development, store fees, reviews and constant updates. For most local businesses it's overkill. There's a simpler option that most customers already use without knowing it: the Progressive Web App, or PWA.

What a PWA is

A PWA is a website that can be installed on a phone's home screen. It opens full-screen with your icon and name, just like an app. Customers don't visit an app store, and you don't publish anything there.

Why it matters for ordering

• One tap to reorder. Your icon sits next to the big delivery apps on the customer's phone.
• No store approvals. Change your menu and it's live immediately.
• Nothing heavy to download. It installs in seconds and takes almost no storage space.
• Works on iPhone and Android from the same website.

How customers install it

• Android (Chrome): open your site, then tap "Install app" or "Add to Home screen" in the menu.
• iPhone (Safari): open your site, tap the Share button, then "Add to Home Screen".

Tell customers about it: a line on your receipt such as "Add us to your home screen for faster ordering" goes a long way.
